QR code wedding photos let guests share pictures by scanning a printed code instead of using an app. With Forever Wedding, one QR code per table opens an upload page in the phone's browser, with no download and no account. Guests scan, snap and upload, and each photo appears live on your reception screen within seconds and is saved to your gallery. From €39.
Why QR code wedding photos beat every other method
WhatsApp groups, email chains and USB sticks passed around at the door all rely on guests remembering to share long after the moment has passed. A QR code changes that.
With Forever Wedding, your QR code is on every table from the moment guests sit down. Sharing takes three steps: point, scan, upload. Photos are shared in the moment, when the emotion is fresh and the light is right. There is no asking, no chasing and no following up weeks later.
Compared to a dedicated app, a QR code is faster: guests upload within seconds of scanning, with no download, no login and no permissions to grant. Compared to a WhatsApp group, all photos arrive in one organised gallery, in HD quality. Our guide on how to share wedding photos with guests compares shared folders, group chats and a QR code side by side.
A QR code on the tables is also the simplest alternative to disposable cameras: every guest already carries a camera, and there is nothing to collect or develop afterwards.

How QR code wedding photos work, from print to gallery
Forever Wedding turns one printed QR code into a complete photo collection for your wedding. From table card to highlight film, these are the steps.
01
Print the code for every table
Forever Wedding creates a unique QR code for your wedding. Print it on table cards, coasters, menus or a welcome sign, wherever guests will see it during the evening.
02
Guests scan with their phone camera
The built in camera of any iPhone or Android phone recognises the code and opens your upload page in the browser. No app store and no account.
03
Guests take or choose a photo
The upload page works in any mobile browser. Photos are uploaded in HD on Basic and Premium, and many guests can upload at the same time without waiting.
04
Photos appear on the screen within seconds
Any TV, monitor or projector showing your live wall link displays each new photo as it arrives. The screen updates by itself, no refresh and no DJ needed.
05
Everything is saved to your gallery
Every upload is stored in your private gallery. On Basic and Premium you download all photos as one ZIP and make a highlight film with music.
The QR code keeps working throughout your event, so guests can upload from the ceremony to the last dance.
From QR code scan to big screen, in seconds
The moment a guest's photo appears on the reception screen is one of the most joyful moments of a modern wedding reception.
i
Designed to run itself
Open your live wall link on any screen connected to the internet before the reception begins. From then on, every photo uploaded through the QR code appears by itself, with no moderator and no DJ needed.
ii
The whole room reacts together
When an unexpected photo appears, a candid moment from the dance floor or a group shot from the ceremony, the room reacts straight away. The live wall creates shared moments of joy all evening.
iii
Works on any screen, in any venue
TV, projector or monitor: if it has a browser and an internet connection, it can show the live wall. No extra hardware and no technician. Open the link, go full screen and the wall is live.
Every QR code wedding photo, saved for you
From the first scan to the last upload, every photo is saved automatically. No chasing guests and no lost images.
One ZIP of every guest photo
On Basic and Premium you download every photo shared through the QR code at once, as a single ZIP file in HD quality. Not the compressed versions WhatsApp or iMessage would send.
A highlight film with music
Turn the best guest photos into a short highlight film with music, with one click after the party. No editor, no waiting weeks and no extra cost.
A private gallery for 1 year or more
Your photos stay in your private gallery for 1 year on Basic and 3 years on Premium. Log in any time to view and download them.
Where to place your wedding QR codes
The more places guests see the QR code, the more photos you collect. These are the most effective spots.
1. Table cards or place settings
One QR code per table is the single most effective placement. Guests sit for 45 to 90 minutes and have plenty of time to notice and scan it. A small card (A6 or smaller) with the code and a short line like "Scan to add your photos to our live gallery" is all you need.
2. Welcome sign or entrance
A larger QR code on the welcome sign greets guests as they arrive and sets the expectation straight away. Many guests scan before they find their seat. A4 or A3 works well, large enough to scan from 60 to 80 cm away.
3. Bar or drinks station
The bar is where guests gather during the drinks reception and all evening. A small card or stand next to the drinks prompts uploads during quiet moments.
4. Programme or order of service
With the QR code in a printed programme, every guest has it in their hand from the ceremony onwards. Guests who capture a moment during the ceremony can upload it straight afterwards.
5. Photo booth or selfie corner
If your wedding has a photo booth or selfie corner, a QR code next to it creates a natural loop: guests take a photo and upload it straight away. Together with a live screen, it becomes one of the most interactive parts of the evening.
Printing tips
A QR code needs a print size of about 2 by 2 cm to scan reliably on most phones; for table cards 4 by 4 cm works well. Avoid very dark backgrounds: white or cream gives the best contrast. Your dashboard has a high resolution QR code, ready to use in any design or to print directly.
Examples of QR table cards
A QR table card does not need to be fancy. A short line such as "Share your photos with us", the code at 4 by 4 cm or larger and good contrast is all it takes. This is the table card your dashboard makes, with your own names, your own line and your own code.

Pick one of three styles (Cream, Dark or Blush), write your own line and print it as an A6 table card or an A5 poster. Download it as a PDF for a print shop or print it at home. Prefer your own design? Download the QR code on its own and place it on your menu cards, coasters or welcome sign.
What QR code wedding photos cost
Start free with up to 50 photos and the live wall. Basic is a one time payment of €39 per wedding and Premium €79. No subscription and no cost per photo.
Create a free Forever Wedding gallery and your personal QR code is made automatically. Download it from your dashboard as a table card in A6 or A5 size, print it and place it on the tables. Guests scan it with their phone camera and upload photos straight from the browser.
How does a QR code for wedding photos work?+
A printed code links to a mobile upload page. Guests scan it with their phone camera, without an app, and upload photos straight away. With Forever Wedding, every upload appears live on the reception screen within seconds and is saved to your private gallery.
Where should I place the QR code at my wedding?+
Table cards, coasters, menu cards and the welcome sign work best. Print the code as many times as you like: the more visible it is, the more guests scan and upload throughout the evening.
Can guests use any phone to scan the QR code?+
Yes. Any smartphone with a camera, iPhone or Android, scans the code with its own camera app. No QR reader app is needed, and the upload page opens in the phone's browser.
What happens after a guest scans the QR code?+
The browser opens the upload page for your wedding. The guest enters their name, takes or chooses a photo and taps upload, and the photo appears on your live wall within seconds. No registration and no forms.
How many guests can upload at the same time?+
As many as you have. All guests can scan and upload at the same time, whether you have 10 or 300. On Basic and Premium there is no cap on the total number of photos.
Is a QR code wedding photo system free to set up?+
Forever Wedding has a free plan with up to 50 guest photos and the live wall. For a full wedding with unlimited photos, HD uploads, the highlight film and 1 year of gallery access, Basic costs €39 as a one time payment, with no subscription and no fee per photo.
Do guests need an account to upload via the QR code?+
No. Guests need no account, email address or registration. They scan the code, type their name, choose a photo and tap upload, so every guest can join in, whatever their age.
How is a QR code better than a WhatsApp group?+
WhatsApp groups rely on guests sharing after the event: photos are compressed, people forget and media is hard to organise. Forever Wedding collects photos during the wedding, shows them live and keeps everything in one private gallery, with a ZIP download and a highlight film on Basic and Premium.
